They broke the mold.........

I was born in Manchester which officially makes me a Mancunian. If you want to get an idea of what it’s like to work with me, Google Mancunian and you’ll see ‘hardworking, friendly, down to earth’ Paul McGree in his book SUMO describes Mancunians ‘tell is as it is, no bull and really practical’ I couldn’t have described myself any better! Mum always says they broke the mold when they made me.......everyone's mold is broken, we're all unique and that's our opportunity! 


I’m proud of having a reputation for not being a typical HR person, having previously worked in commercial leadership roles, owning a P&L, I have curiosity and point of view on things outside of HR and I’m not afraid to share it.


After 20 years of climbing the corporate ladder, working for large corporate organisations in senior HR jobs I found myself at an iconic brand, in my dream job as a Senior HR Director at Nike, the enjoyable salary and an awkward feeling in my belly I couldn’t shift. I wasn’t living up to my purpose every day; Inspiring others to realize and utilize their uniqueness and potential. So, at the top of Kilimanjaro in 2016, exhausted and glad to be alive, I decided to follow my heart and do more of what I love. This was the start of a new challenge and HumanologyHR.


I get energy from solving problems, building relationships, positively influencing performance and I have an unquenchable curiosity about human behaviour. My commercial background combined with critical systems thinking has helped me build credibility quickly with leaders in multiple companies, countries and cultures.
